This BBC story looks at the pros and cons ahead of Bebo’s new life. It has now announced plans to make a comeback - this time with a focus on real-time user interaction, rather than the news-heavy feel that Facebook and other platforms are now almost saddled with. Its name came from “be early, blog often” and it was once the biggest social platform in the UK before being sold to AOL in 2008, and then again, later in 2019 to Twitch. Bebo is Backīack in the mists of time, there was a platform called Bebo. But would people pay to get more out of Twitter? It is also testing a live audio discussion service, to rival Clubhouse, the app whose growing popularity has been a success story of the pandemic.
But in February it announced plans to introduce a “super follow” feature which will allow users to charge for additional, exclusive content. Twitter has been a little quiet recently in unveiling any changes to its platform. The consequences of all this activity and the deals that have been compromised between all parties are bound to have an effect on all of us. There was further escalation in the battle of Australia, between Google and Facebook and the government over its proposed News Media Bargaining Code, with Facebook choosing to shut down news pages on its platform for several days. Here’s hoping we get Netflix someday.This last month has seen a lot happening in the social media world. Streaming options on the Switch are still fairly limited, though there is also YouTube or Hulu if you want to watch something in between trips to your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island.
You can either scan a QR code on your phone or enter an eight-digit code shown on your screen at. If you want to sign in to your account, you fortunately won’t have to wrestle with typing your password in using the Switch’s controls or the touchscreen. One big change is that you can’t see a stream’s chat on your Switch’s screen or a TV screen, though you can scan a QR code to see chat on your phone.
The Switch Twitch experience is somewhat more limited than what you might be used to from the Twitch website or app. Nintendo’s profile on the Nintendo Switch Twitch app. The app is only for watching streams you can’t use it to stream your gameplay. I checked out a couple streams, and they looked great, especially on the Switch OLED’s screen. There’s a Home tab with recommended streams for you to watch, a Browse tab to look for streams by game or category, and a Search tab. It’s a free download that’s available now on the eShop. There’s now a Twitch app for the Nintendo Switch.
